Locations: Dallas, TX Team Overview The Senior Financial Planning Analyst supports the organization’s strategic and financial objectives by providing accurate financial forecasting, detailed analysis, and data-driven reporting. This position will collaborate closely with leadership across departments to support budgeting, long-range planning, and performance analysis. The Finance team’s effectiveness directly contributes to excellence in ministry accountability, stewardship, informed decision-making, sound fiscal management, and the overall reputation of the organization. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning. Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership. Prepare monthly , quarterly , and annual financial reports, including variance analysi s, supporting documentation, and interpretation of results. Partner with department leaders to develop operating budgets, monitor spending, and ensure alignment with strategic goals. Support fundraising efforts by preparing financial schedules for funding proposals, and periodic reports for key institutional funders. Identify financial risks and opportunities that may impact financial performance and recommend appropriate actions. Provide continuous process improvements to maximize efficiency, consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of financial services and information, including automating processes and tools. Ensure financial data integrity and consistency across reporting systems. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance , Accounting, Economics, or a related field . 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or similar field. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with data visualization and dashboard development using BI tools. Knowledge of GAAP and financial compliance standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to finance and non-finance audiences. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the p roven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
