Job Description:
Cox Automotive is seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic Shop
Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee
the daily operations of our automotive service center, ensuring
efficient management of staff and resources to provide outstanding
service and support to our clients. This position involves
strategic planning, staff management, quality control, and direct
customer interaction. Ideal candidates will bring a strong
background in automotive mechanics and leadership, capable of
motivating a team and driving operational success. Oversee daily
operations of the mechanic shop, including workflow management and
scheduling. Manage a team of technicians, providing training and
support to ensure high-quality workmanship. Develop and implement
processes to improve efficiency and quality of service. Maintain
inventory control and ensure availability of necessary tools and
parts. Engage with customers to explain services, resolve issues,
and maintain high customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with all
safety regulations and internal policies. Prepare detailed reports
on shop activities, revenues, and expenses for upper management.
Strong leadership and team management skills In-depth knowledge of
automotive systems and mechanics Excellent customer service and
communication skills Proficient in using automotive diagnostic and
repair tools Ability to solve problems and make decisions under
pressure Experience with inventory and operations management
