Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75203 American Care Academy Pleasant Grove: 1227 N Masters Dr suite 150, Dallas, TX 75217 Qualifications : Must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or GED. Must have at least 2 years experience working in a licensed childcare facility. Prefer CDA, degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education Benefits/Perks Professional Development: Room for growth within the company Low child-to-teacher ratios Monthly classroom budget Weekly planning time Paid background check, CPR, First-Aid, & Food Handlers Permit Teacher Appreciation & Recognition: Surprise Gifts/Snacks Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour Work Shift: 9:00AM - 6:00PM Responsibilities: Ensure the children have good hygiene and changing diapers as necessary Develop a careful and creative program suitable for specific age groups of children Employ a variety of educational techniques (theatrical, storytelling, educational play, media, etc.) to teach children Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, or colors, do crafts, etc.) Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are always safe. Track childrens progress and report to parents Communicate with parents regularly to understand the childrens background and psyche. Collaborate with other educators. Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
