What does a successful Cyber Security Engineer do at Fiserv?
Fiserv's Global Data Protection functions are responsible for the protection of financial transactions and sensitive data, and make a critical contribution to ensuring that Fiserv retains its position as a leading security-focused technology innovator. Our Global Data Protection teams are responsible for providing consultation and assistance to application teams developing secure applications. Global Data Protection developers provide subject matter expertise and update applications to leverage data protection technologies.This role is imbedded with the engineering and development teams to help onboard applications to data protection platforms. -We are looking for a high caliber individual with the ambition, drive and technical capabilities to help directly influence secure application development in the evolving payments industry. As a Security Advisor I on this team, you'll have a great opportunity to help meet the business needs of our global clients and enrich our service offering. We offer you the chance to work on global environments within a small team where frequent & fast-paced demands will mean you'll see the impact of your work almost immediately. -
What you will do:

• Consulting with Industry Specialists, Application Development Teams, and Product Owners on future enhancements
• Collaborating with engineering and development resources to design and implement data protection processes and procedures.
• Implementing and testing processes and procedures
• Collaborating directly with development, security, and vendor teams
• Building expertise in specific areas and mentoring colleagues
• Providing support for our security platforms as required
  What you will need to have:
  
  • 4+ years of related technical, encryption and business experience. -
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and/or Certifications.
  • This position requires that the successful candidate must be a lawful permanent resident or US Citizen.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or equivalent experience/ discipline preferred -
  • Knowledge of workflow management platforms like ServiceNow, Remedy etc.
  • Knowledge of information security principles - preferred within data encryption
  • Team Focused; Analytical & Solution Orientated; Strong Priority Setting
  • Attention to Detail; Time Management
    What would be great to have:
    
    • CISSP or specialized GIAC certification is preferred. -
