Title: Accounting Manager Location: Frisco, TX Hybrid Position Summary Accounting Manager is responsible for assisting with the corporate month end close process, working with various stakeholders (both internal and outsourced) to achieve timely and accurate results and utilizing technical accounting skills to ensure that transactions are appropriately accounted for in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Key Areas of Responsibility Review flux and trend analyses of financial statements data monthly. Responsible for month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and uploading period results into corporate ERP system. Prepare and review account reconciliations. Coordinate with internal, external, and third-party teams to determine the proper accounting treatment of business transactions and resolve any aging items. Support internal and external audits, as well as external reporting activities. Assess current SOX controls to ensure adequacy. Identify and implement any new controls on existing or new processes, including updating/creating process documentation, collaborating with business process owners, etc. Review complex and unusual transactions to ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies. Assist with merger and acquisition accounting and integration, including Opening Balance Sheet, Purchase Accounting, Policy review and compliance. Lead ad hoc projects and drive them to completion with minimal supervision. Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff. Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Basic Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related Business discipline 4+ years of related experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Systems aptitude with strong Excel skills Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently and as a team member with excellent interpersonal skills Excellent time management skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Tenacious, determined self-starter ruthless in seeking incremental and transformational value Strong sense of pride and ownership and a demonstrated willingness to go the extra mile Team player willing to pitch in for the greater good Preferred Qualifications Licensed CPA Industry / Corporate Accounting experience Experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) software Experience with Oracle ERP and SAP Business Objects.
