Job Description:

The Vice President will assist with oversight of the property management operations across a growing portfolio of Build-to-Rent (BTR) communities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This role is responsible for driving financial performance, leading leasing and marketing efforts, achieving operational excellence, and creating resident satisfaction across multiple markets. The ideal candidate will have experience in single-family rental and/or multifamily property management, with a strong understanding of the BTR sector's dynamics.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across a regional portfolio of BTR communities, ensuring performance targets are met or exceeded.
  • Provide strategic leadership to onsite and regional teams, including Property Management, Leasing, Marketing, and Maintenance.
  • Develop and implement business plans, annual budgets, and capital expenditure strategies for each asset.
  • Monitor leasing velocity, rent growth, occupancy, and operational metrics for optimal performance.
  • Oversee HOA management companies and enforce HOA guidelines within BTR communities.
  • Implement standardized operating procedures and best practices tailored to BTR assets.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team on brand strategy, lease-up campaigns, and digital lead generation.
  • Lead training, development, and performance management of site teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess performance, ensure compliance, and support team development.
  • Partner with development and construction teams during lease-up and community handover phases.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, local housing laws, and fair housing regulations.
  • Report financial and operational updates to executive leadership.

    Education & Experience

  • 7+ years in property management, including at least 3 years in a regional leadership role.
  • Experience in the Build-to-Rent or single-family rental industry preferred.
  • HOA management experience is a plus.
  • Proven track record managing multi-site portfolios, especially in high-growth or lease-up environments.
  • Strong leadership, team development, and strategic planning skills.
  • Proficiency with property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, Buildium, Salesforce).
  • Ability to leverage AI technologies; strong technical skills required.
  • Deep understanding of marketing strategy and digital lead generation (social media, email, SEO, PPC, CRM).
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the region.
  • Credentials such as CAM, CAPS, CRM, or CPM are preferred.

  • Experience launching or scaling new BTR communities.
  • Financial acumen, including P&L responsibility and budget oversight.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong grasp of local market trends and competitor dynamics.
