Job Description Job Description RN – Medical-Surgical Travel Position Location: Plano, TX Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 3x12 Nights Pay: $1,686.60/Week (plus $2,000 completion bonus per contract, up to $6,000 after three contracts) Job Description We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Ortho Trauma Specialty Unit in Plano, TX . This 36-bed unit cares for a diverse population of orthopedic and trauma patients requiring specialized post-surgical and non-surgical care. The ideal candidate will have strong med-surg skills, experience with orthopedic and trauma patients, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-centered environment. Key Responsibilities Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to patients with orthopedic, trauma, and post-surgical conditions. Administer medications and IV infusions including Heparin and Protonix drips . Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes. Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and case management teams to coordinate care. Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR . Participate in daily huddles and maintain consistent communication with the interdisciplinary team. Float as needed to other Medical-Surgical units within the facility.
