Week Overtime
- Overtime calculated weekly
- Overtime begins after 40 hours worked
- Paid at 1.5x applicable rate
Start Date Start date is typically within approximately 2 weeks
after offer acceptance and completion of onboarding/credentialing
requirements.
Compensation
Traveler Compensation Pay Type Amount Weekly Gross $3,111.00 Weekly
Taxable $1,984.00 Weekly Non-Taxable Stipend $1,127.00 Hourly
Taxable $62.00 Hourly Blended $97.22 Overtime Rate $93.00/hr
Local Candidate Pay, Local W2 Rate: $105 $110/hr Experience
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
required
- Must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced
emergency setting
- Experience caring for acutely ill and injured patients
required
- Strong triage and emergency assessment skills required
- Ability to exercise critical thinking and clinical judgment
with minimal supervision
License Requirements
- Active Texas Registered Nurse License OR
- Active Compact RN License with Texas practice privileges
License must be active at time of submission.
Required Certifications
All certifications must remain active throughout assignment.
Job Summary
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process of
assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide
comprehensive patient care to individuals experiencing acute
illness, injury, or changes in health status.
The RN is responsible for promoting positive patient outcomes
through clinical expertise, effective communication, teamwork, and
evidence-based nursing practice. The nurse must maintain compliance
with Texas Board of Nursing standards and organizational policies
while delivering safe, compassionate, patient-centered care.
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to:
- Charge Nurse
- Nurse Supervisor
- Director of Nursing
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Provide care for acutely ill and injured patients
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Monitor patient status and response to treatment
- Communicate patient condition changes appropriately
Emergency Department Operations
- Perform emergency patient triage
- Prioritize care according to patient acuity
- Coordinate care based on available resources
- Facilitate patient transfers
- Facilitate patient discharges
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary
teams
- Maintain positive interdepartmental relationships
- Communicate clearly and effectively with staff and
patients
- Delegate duties appropriately within scope of practice
- Ensure delegated tasks are completed accurately
Clinical Skills
- Administer medications and treatments
- Provide supplemental oxygen therapy
- Utilize pulse oximetry
- Utilize capnography monitoring
- Administer nebulized respiratory treatments
- Process laboratory specimens according to protocol
- Report laboratory results appropriately
Regulatory Compliance
- Follow current Texas Board of Nursing regulations
- Maintain compliance with Texas Department of State Health
Services requirements
- Follow CLIA standards and laboratory procedures
- Adhere to all nursing policies and procedures
- Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols

- Active Texas or Compact RN license required before

- BLS, ACLS, and PALS are mandatory.

environment.
- Candidates should have strong triage, emergency assessment, and
acute care nursing experience.
