Job Description:
Are you ready to shape the future of secure artificial
intelligence — not just from the sidelines, but from the center of
the action? The AWS Generative AI Innovation Center stands at the
forefront of the AI revolution, where we're not just advising on
technology — we're building it, securing it, and delivering it
alongside the world's most innovative organizations. As businesses
race to adopt transformative GenAI capabilities, security isn't
just a checkbox — it's the foundation that makes innovation
possible. In this role, you'll be both the guardian and the builder
— ensuring every GenAIIC engagement meets AWS' security bar while
also rolling up your sleeves to deliver secure GenAI solutions
directly to customers. We're seeking a GenAI Security Consultant to
serve as both engagement security leader and hands-on security
practitioner across the full spectrum of GenAIIC delivery. You'll
conduct security assessments and reviews for engagements across the
global footprint, then step into those same engagements as a
billable consultant, architect, and builder. From Proof of Concepts
to Forward Deployed Engineering to traditional ProServe consulting,
you'll be the security expert who ensures we deliver at the AWS
security bar while driving customer outcomes. Why This Role Matters
In the GenAI Innovation Center, we deliver transformative GenAI
solutions through multiple delivery models — POCs that prove what's
possible, innovations that push the boundaries, FDE engagements
that build alongside customers, and ProServe consulting that scales
expertise. Security excellence must span all of these, and it
requires someone who can operate at multiple altitudes — conducting
governance and oversight one moment, writing secure code the next.
You'll be: - Conducting security assessments, architecture reviews,
and compliance evaluations across GenAIIC engagements globally,
ensuring every delivery meets AWS security standards before,
during, and after customer work - Embedding as a billable security
consultant within customer engagements across POCs, innovations,
FDE, and ProServe delivery models, providing hands-on security
architecture, implementation, and guidance - Holding and enforcing
the AWS security bar across diverse engagement types and customer
contexts, translating security requirements into practical,
deployable solutions - Partnering with internal delivery teams, AWS
Security, ProServe Security, and third-party partners to architect
and implement security controls that are both rigorous and
pragmatic - Building reusable security patterns, accelerators, and
reference architectures based on real engagement experience that
scale your impact across the practice The Innovation Opportunity
This role sits at the intersection of governance and delivery,
giving you visibility and influence across the entire GenAIIC
portfolio. You'll have the unique opportunity to: - Shape security
standards and practices for GenAIIC engagements through your
oversight role, then validate and refine those standards through
hands-on delivery - Work across the full spectrum of GenAIIC
delivery models, building expertise in POC security, innovation
prototyping, forward-deployed engineering, and traditional
consulting - Deliver billable consulting services that directly
impact customer success while also driving the security posture of
the broader GenAIIC practice - Build a reputation as a security
expert who can navigate complex governance requirements and deliver
production-ready solutions under pressure If you're energized by
operating at multiple levels — strategic oversight and hands-on
delivery — if you're passionate about both governance and building,
and if you want to be the security expert who ensures GenAIIC
delivers securely at scale, this role is for you. Join us in
shaping and delivering the future of secure AI innovation at AWS.
Key job responsibilities Security for GenAI - Conduct security

and implement production-ready security architectures for
enterprise GenAI deployments, with specific service configurations,
working code, and deployable solutions - Build and deploy security
controls specific to GenAI applications, including prompt injection
defenses, data boundary enforcement, model access controls, and
audit logging - Develop reusable security accelerators, reference
implementations, and governance frameworks that enable secure
delivery across engagement types - Partner with AWS Security,
ProServe Security, and third-party security organizations to ensure
engagement security requirements are identified, tracked, and
resolved GenAI for Security Innovation - Design and build
innovative GenAI-powered security solutions within the context of
customer engagements and internal innovation initiatives - Develop

security problems - Partner with customers and internal teams to
identify and implement GenAI-powered security capabilities that can
be operationalized at scale - Contribute to the development of new
security offerings and methodologies that advance how GenAI is used
to enhance security capabilities Thought Leadership & Industry

implementation guides that capture and scale security patterns
developed through engagements - Present at customer briefings, AWS
events, and industry conferences on GenAI security implementation
and engagement security best practices - Collaborate with AWS
service teams to provide engagement-driven feedback on security
features and capabilities based on real deployment experience -

practices for GenAI implementation across POC, innovation, FDE, and
consulting delivery models - Share knowledge and mentor team
members on secure implementation practices and engagement security
processes, elevating the security capability of the broader GenAIIC
practice Success in this role requires exceptional technical depth,
strong governance and risk management skills, the ability to
operate effectively across oversight and delivery contexts, and the
judgment to balance security rigor with delivery velocity across
diverse engagement types. A day in the life As a GenAI Security
Consultant spanning engagement security and customer delivery, you
might start your day conducting a security assessment for an
upcoming POC engagement, identifying security requirements and
compliance obligations. By mid-morning, you're embedded in a
Forward Deployed Engineering engagement, writing and testing
security controls for a customer's Amazon Bedrock deployment. After
lunch, you're facilitating a security review for a ProServe
consulting engagement, reviewing architecture and code for security
issues. By afternoon, you're in a working session with AWS Security
on a high-risk use case, then contributing to a reusable security
accelerator based on patterns from recent engagements. Your day
might conclude with a knowledge-sharing session with the GenAIIC
security team, discussing lessons learned and evolving best
practices. Throughout the day, you'll balance governance oversight,
hands-on delivery, stakeholder management, and knowledge capture —
always ensuring GenAIIC delivers securely at scale. About the team
